hey, quick question:
-
Counselling with hey lemon is intended to be like ‘going to the gym’ for your emotional wellbeing. It’s not just for emergencies; it’s proactive. Often, it feels like a catch up with a good friend. It’s your space to focus on yourself with a co-pilot of sorts! It’s also not just getting validated all the time (ok, it’s partly that) it’s also exploratory, curious, expansive, and getting called out (gently). It’s also not getting advice; it’s uncovering what fits best for you, especially if it isn’t obvious right away.

While most, if not all, therapists do focus on the therapeutic relationship, they don’t lead with it in their brand. We do. We say it loudly and proudly.
Our modalities are always research-based, anchored in evidence, and ethically top-notch, which is why we lead with the relationship. Evidence shows that above all treatment approaches, the therapeutic relationship is the greatest impact on client outcomes.

At this time, hey lemon is not able to direct-bill your insurance company. You will pay for session out of pocket, then instantly receive a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), I qualify to have my sessions reimbursed through most insurance companies. Double-check your extended benefits to ensure coverage.

Sessions are 50 minutes, 70 minutes, or 90 minutes long and billed accordingly.
50 minutes session: $160
70 minutes session: $224
90 minutes session: $288
These are in alignment with current BCACC rates recommendations and the same whether in-person or online.
Sliding scale availability is limited and on a case-by-case basis for folks without insurance. Please ask if you’re curious!

Probably! But, it won’t always be that obvious :)
